Welcome to Cathays Surgery
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
Get Well, Keep Well
Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.

As rules on face coverings have eased in Wales, it is still a legal requirement to wear a face covering when attending our hospitals and community healthcare sites, unless exempt. Help keep our staff, patients and communities safe. #HelpUsHelpYou #KeepWalesSafe

Please remember to bring a mask with you to wear while inside the surgery. You must wear a mask inside the surgery unless you have an exemption.
NOTICE regarding NHS Covid Pass: Please DO NOT contact the surgery with regards to obtaining an NHS COVID Pass; we are unable to assist you with this. Call 0300 303 5667, or visit the Welsh Gov website to find information about the NHS Covid pass (Click here). Help can also be found on Help Centre Home (login.nhs.uk)
Are you eligible for antibody or antiviral treatment for Covid?
Some people are now eligible to receive antiviral and antibody treatments for NHS patients at greater risk from severe COVID-19.
There are 2 ways in which you can receive antiviral treatments:
• as part of your standard care if you are at highest risk of severe COVID-19 and extremely vulnerable
• through a UK wide antiviral study called PANORAMIC available to COVID-19 positive patients over 50 or 18-49 with underlying health conditions
Antivirals will be used alongside the vaccine, which still remains our most effective tool.
To find out whether you are eligible for COVID-19 treatments or participation in a UK-wide antiviral study visit https://gov.wales/covid-19-treatments
