Child Health Services

The growth and development of your child is monitored carefully from the day it is born.

The midwives will have an input within in the first ten days of birth before the health visitor takes over. The health visitor will visit you and the baby at home at this stage. You are able to contact her at the practice.

There is a child health clinic held weekly by a GP and the health visitor. This clinic is for checking the growth and development of your child; giving immunisations and dealing with any problems you have with a well baby.

If you feel your child is sick please do not bring it to this clinic as it may pass on infection. The doctors will always see sick children as an emergency at the ends of their clinics whenever the need arises.
